Is This Site Broken for You?

I have a confession: I'm not a Web designer. I barely qualify as a hobbyist. I hope this Web site works properly for you and looks the way it’s supposed to, but there are a lot of different Web browsers out there, and some don’t support modern Web design methods.

I put a lot of work into modernizing our Web site in the early 2010s, but I’m simply not skilled (or patient) enough to please every browser. I largely limited my testing to recent versions of several popular browsers. These include Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, and Safari. Since then other browsers have arisen, but most use one of the several rendering engines. The site seems mostly to work all right with those.

I knew back in 2012 that the site doesn't look right in Internet Explorer 6 and earlier versions. Those versions have mostly fallen out of use. If you happen to be using one of those, I hope at least the content is visible even if it doesn’t look pretty.

If you encounter a problem viewing the site with a recent, mainstream browser, feel free to let me know about it. Tell me specifically what seems wrong, what operating system and browser you are using, and the version of each. (See the Contact page in the Family section if you don’t know how to reach me.) I’ll see if I can fix it.
