How You Can Support Our Ministry

Though we have been on the field for quite a while, we still need to raise new financial support. Our support has dipped over the years as people’s finances have changed and as some who have partnered with us have passed away. In addition, costs have risen significantly, pulling us farther back from our fundraising goal.

At present, we need to raise an additional $3,986.35 per month.

If you would be interested in helping us reach this goal and continue our work in Japan, please prayerfully consider making a recurring gift to our account with Mission to the World.

Mission is not a solo act. It’s a team sport. A few people go, but many send. We need a team of people to send us back to Japan.

Japan remains an expensive country, so our costs are significant and the task of fundraising is daunting. Based on our past experience, it is in situations like this that God often intervenes in startling ways. So we look forward to seeing his marvels through your generosity.

How to Give

There are several ways to give toward our support. Since ours is a monthly need, we would encourage recurring gifts rather than a one-time gift. However, if a one-time gift is all that possible now, that too is appreciated.

Giving by Check

You can donate to our ministry by check.

  1. Make the check out to Mission to the World.
  2. Write our account number, 11395, on the memo line.
  3. Mail the check to

Mission to the World will send you a receipt and a stub to enclose with your next gift.

Giving by Electronic Check (EFT)

We recommend giving by electronic check because it is easy, reliable, and does not incur any fees.

  1. Visit our page on the MTW website.
  2. To the right of our names, enter the amount you would like to donate.
  3. Click or tap the switch labeled, “Make this recurring.”
  4. Click or tap the big, green “Give” button. You’ll be taken to the “Checkout” page.
  5. Check the information at the top of the page. You can make your gift anonymous (but please don’t) or add a comment (which Yumiko and I won’t necessarily see).
  6. Farther below, choose the frequency of your donations (monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually).
  7. Below that, you may, if you like, choose a date for your first gift and an optional end date for donations.
  8. Below “Secure Payment Information,” select “Electronic Check (EFT).” (Choosing “Card” will cause a credit card fee to be deducted from your gift.)
  9. Check the radio button to authorize MTW to debit your bank account, then fill in your account number, routing number, etc.
  10. Fill in your billing information (name, address, etc.).
  11. Click the “I’m not a robot” box (assuming you are not).
  12. Finally, click the green “Process Gift” button.

You’re done! And you shouldn’t need to do all of that ever again. If you chose “Make this recurring,” the amount you specified will be debited on the schedule you set without any intervention from you until you want to stop.

Giving by Credit Card

Giving by credit card is very much like giving via electronic check. The drawback is that a three-percent fee will be deducted from each donation. To use a credit card, follow these steps.

  1. Visit our page on the MTW website.
  2. To the right of our names, enter the amount you would like to donate.
  3. Click or tap the switch labeled, “Make this recurring.”
  4. Click or tap the big, green “Give” button. You’ll be taken to the “Checkout” page.

You should not need to repeat these steps. The amount you specified will be charged to your credit card on the schedule you specified until you stop it.
